Happy Thursday GSL…..here is your GSL School Update for today, January 25, 2024.
Thank you for taking it slow and safe today and everyday…..a reminder that things are very busy on 16th street before and after school…..please drive slow!
Looking ahead to next week on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, ……the boys and girls basketball teams are playing DC…. this is “Youth Basketball Night”….the boys basketball team will be handing out posters and will be will be signing autographs after the game……….It is also cancer night. Families are encouraged to wear pink. Should be a great night of hoops! We hope to see all of you there. Girls varsity will play at 5:30 PM and boys will follow at 7:00 PM.

Trap Meeting: Must Attend!! The Spring Trap Meeting/Registration is Monday February 5th at 7pm at the King Pin backroom in Plato. Please use the East side entrance. Parents and students must attend.
Reminder that our doors open at 7:30 AM. Please do not come to school before then. Our supervision in and around school starts at that time.
The GSL Unified Program invites you to join us for the 2024 Polar Plunge Saturday, February 10th at Lola’s Lakehouse on Lake Waconia. 100% of all donations for the event help support Special Olympics MN. 50% of donations earned by our team help support our GSL Unified Program benefiting students with and without disabilities providing equipment for Unified PE, funding Unified field trips, and funding in-school events. Senior yearbook submissions are due Thursday, February 1st. Students should submit 3 things to the Google Forms at gslyearbook.com: 1) Senior Photo, 2) Baby/Childhood Photo, 3) Senior Survey. Any questions can be sent to Ms. Braun at abraun@gslpanthers.net.
Reminder that GSL offers free breakfast and free lunch to all students everyday….please take advantage of this program!
Looking ahead, Kindergarten Round-up for the school 2024-2025 school year will be on March 7, 2024. More details will follow. You can register now on the district’s website on the front page under District News.
Finally, I have a bike that has been in our bike rake for several months….if it is yours, please claim it in the District Office.
