Happy Tuesday…..Welcome to the First Day of Spring….here is your GSL School Update for March 19, 2024.
This is a reminder that GSL will be on Spring Break from March 25-29. School will resume on April 1, 2024.
Just and FYI – if you see the Sheriff’s department in and around Lakeside School over break, please don’t be alarmed…….they will be doing some training over the break.
Prom 2024
Students: Permission slips are due 3/22. Extra forms can be found in the high school office. Questions? Please contact Emily Konerza (ekonerza@gsl.k12.mn.us) or Morgan Henke (mhenke@gsl.k12.mn.us).
Parents: We need your help! In order to accomplish all of the activities we have planned for prom we NEED adult chaperones. Anyone interested (parents of sophomores, parents of any grade, graduates over 20 years old, teachers, etc.) Here is the LINK to sign up. Please consider this opportunity because without your help some of our events would not be able to happen.
Hello parents of GSL sophomores!
This year, sophomores are selling cookie dough and pizza through Unhinged Pizza in Glencoe to earn money for their grade. The sale starts Thursday, March 14 and ends Thursday, March 21st. Orders must be turned in by 3:15pm March 21st to Mr. Magnuson’s classroom or the front office of the high school. This fundraiser is optional, but it is the main fundraiser your graduating class gets to have. The delivery date is Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 at 3:15 in the high school commons.
Students selling over 10 pizzas earn a free pizza!
Most of the proceeds go to class expenses like Prom (when they become juniors)
Questions and completed order forms can be directed to Mr. Magnuson at brmagnuson@gsl.k12.mn.us, or 320-864-2445.
This Thursday, March 21st is World Down Syndrome day. GSL will be having a “Silly Socks” day to help celebrate the lives of those with Down Syndrome around the world. Please help spread the word for this event and get your silly socks ready for Thursday.
